I retired from teaching in 1998 and began painting in
2000 after a trip to the Canadian Arctic. I paint landscapes, birds and animals in both watercolours and acrylics. I have
also done many scenes of neighbourhoods in Toronto, such as Riverdale, the Beaches, the Annex, Cabbagetown, the Toronto Islands
and High Park.
Two of my paintings of scenes in her ward are on display in the City Hall office of Councillor Paula
Fletcher.
I attended classes at the Avenue Road Arts School and the Toronto District School Board. I have participated
in watercolour workshops with Canadian artiists Henry Vyfinkel and Gordon MacKenzie.
I have exhibited in juried group
shows at Trinity College, the Riverdale Art Walk, Bon Echo Provincial Park and the Don Valley Art Club Show.
